We have created some designs to further advocate renewable energy.

3 Designs—Which will you choose?
１． “Switch to renewables?”
The average household releases approximately 1227 soccer balls worth of carbon dioxide everyday.
About half of that amount is derived from electricity.
The design emphasizes that switching your electricity supply to a renewable source is as easy as flipping a switch.
It also portrays our wish of protecting the nature around us by using 100% renewable energy.
* The value “48.6% of household emissions comes from electricity” was presented by Japan Center for Climate Change Actions (JCCCA).
The estimation of 1227 soccer balls worth of carbon dioxide assumes that 1kg of CO2 fills 100 soccer balls (annually 4480kg CO2 ÷ 365 = daily 12.27kg CO2, 12.27×100＝1,227 soccer balls)
２． “Which will you choose?”
Approximately 70% of Japan’s energy comes from fossil fuels.
Therefore, the even simply using electricity traditionally contributed to the emission of CO2.
However, now there is a choice to choose “100% renewable electricity”.
This artwork depicts this choice through a traditional style of Japanese paintings: Ukiyo-e.
３．“Renewable Energy!! (Sai-Ene!!)”
In Japanese, “renewable energy” translates to “再生可能エネルギー(Saisei-kanou Enerugii)” or “再エネ(Sai-Ene)” for short.
Whereas the concept of renewable energy may sound serious and daunting to some, this design directly conveys the term in a pop-ish and friendly way.
